“I grew up in Omaha in the ‘90s. I loved every bit of that time! The ultra-modern neon vibes, actually hanging out in-person with my friends, tinkering with cars - it was awesome. Cars are functional art. They represent what is tangible and tactile. I think that’s ultimately what ‘90s USA was for me. It was this tug of war between analog and digital, this sort of battle between the world we could touch and the blossoming intangible digital realm we could interact with but not touch. Although modern vehicles have amazing digital tech integration, they still hold on to that thing we can touch, it connects us to the road, the experience of the drive. It’s weird to say, but there’s a little sense of control in that, which feels important in a time when that seems fleeting.” -JMo
